Shift Commuter Benefits Program
Shift is San Mateo County’s Employee Commuter Benefits Program. We provide flexible resources and incentives to help County employees cut commute costs, reduce commute stress, engage in healthier habits, and minimize their contribution to traffic congestion, local air pollution, and climate change by avoiding the need to drive to work alone.
Over the past 20 years we’ve helped thousands of County employees commute car-free, avoiding millions of pounds of pollutants from being emitted into the air, and millions of miles of vehicle travel on Bay Area roads.
Virtual Benefits Fair Video Booth
Chat will be available 11:30AM-2PM on October 16, 2025.
To Chat with a Representative:
- Go to “Benefit Providers.”
- Click an Exhibitor’s page.
- Click “Join Chat.”
Joining the Zoom Chat:
- If you have the Zoom App and a Zoom account: In the pop-up, click “Open in Zoom App.”
- If you DON’T have the Zoom App:
- In the pop-up, click “Cancel.”
- Click “Join from Zoom Workplace app“. (Blue Button)
- In the new pop-up, click “Cancel” again.
- At the bottom of the page click the “Join from your browser” link.
- Allow browser access to your mic/camera.
- Enter your name and click “Join.”
Chat messages may be delayed during high traffic. Please be patient.
Maintain professional, courteous, and respectful behavior.

- To view the video conference in full screen, click on the three dots (ooo) and select “View Full Screen.”
