Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Fund
The Operating Engineers Public and Miscellaneous Employee Health and Welfare Fund provides a full range of benefits to Operating Engineer units within Local 3. The package includes medical, prescription, vision, dental and added life insurance. For those that are able to retire prior to 65 and after having been part of the Fund for at least 60 months in the 72 months immediately preceding retirement, half-price insurance coverage is available until reaching 65. Union membership is required.
When reaching 65 years of age, the Fund transitions insured to a Medicare Advantage program – Anthem and Kaiser available.
